The “New Every Morning” Fund
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Throughout our 160 year history, generosity has been at the core of First Baptist Church (now True Hope Church Downtown). A group of people passionately following Jesus by sowing seeds of the Gospel throughout our city and neighborhood, and we’re excited for a new way to do just that.
Lamentations 3:22-23 says,
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.”
Over the past couple of years, True Hope Downtown has received a number of large donations, and instead of accumulating large cash reserves, we’ve created the New Every Morning Fund (N.E.M.) to reflect back to our world some of the love, mercy, and generosity that has been shown us through Christ Jesus.
These funds are given to local and global efforts that are committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, are meeting real needs for hurting people, and provide ways to further the Kingdom impact of True Hope by engaging and empowering our members to be active participants in this work.
